Tour du Mont Blanc, baby!

For my first ever long-distance hike, a friend and I decided to take on the Tour du Mont Blanc, a classic hut-to-hut trek through the Alps! To say that this trip tested us is an understatement (…like how did the entire route have literally no flats?) but it was also singlehandedly the most uninterrupted collection of jaw-dropping views, kind and interesting people, and importantly… cheese. (Or should I say fromage?).

We also had the incredible timing of being on-trail during the legendary UTMB race. Hard to put into words what it felt like to get passed by thousands of the most gritty and fit people you’ve ever seen in your life, eh?

All-in we spent 11 days making our 100 mile, 32,000 ft of elevation gain loop circumnavigating the tallest mountain in the Alps, Mont Blanc, and I’m so deeply grateful for the experience.
